Hold on and Stay still...

"I don't think something worse than this can happen to me. But why to me and how long I have to wait for things to fall into shape? "
My friend was trying to explain her worries to me.
It was a beautiful evening and we were sitting in a shore enjoying the nature, gazing people around and wondering which else moment can be so beautiful.
The sea always creates this feel within me, an excitement as if it is the first time visiting it. I really didn't want to waste that wonderful time by talking about the problems in life. But still, I had to console my friend and I tried to do so by telling her "Don't worry. Everything will fall into shape soon. Till then just have faith and move on in your life".
She doesn't seem to be convinced. She looked as if she had lost all her hope and the same was expressed through her words, "but how? How will I have hope or faith when everything is going wrong? How can I say that it will be alright after sometime? Till now all my try have resulted in failure only" .
Her question seems to be reasonable. I could feel the pain that she is undergoing and I really wanted her to come out of it. But how? We both became silent, drowned in thoughts, looking at the sea. How can someone be calm and patient with faith and hold on to life during problems and failures? Soon I was lost in this thought and suddenly something struck my mind. I was happy that I have an answer to my friend's question. The answer is so simple. You have to hold on to life with faith because, you don't have any other choice. As the one travelling in a boat is caught in the mid sea amidst storm and agitation of waters, has no other choice but just to hold on to the boat and wait for the storm to get over, so are we. Sometimes even we have to hold on to life and wait for the problems to get over. At times it is not advisable to swim out of the place. Even if we try to do so, the storm may suppress us and we may fail in our try. Same way, sometimes we just need to hold on to life with faith and wait till the storm gets over. What great things are there to learn from the nature!
Now we know that, we just need to 'hold on to the boat and stay still, till the storm gets over'...
